In 2024 we commenced a major project to protect the building from water ingress and to clean the west facade at a cost of over €250,000. This work was generously supported by The Irish Government Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage through the Community Monuments Fund which is administered by the Cork City Council’s Archaeologist.
Also in 2024 we received a grant to restore our Burges Wooden Models through the Community Heritage Grant Scheme which is administered by The Heritage Council.
In 2025 we are planning to restore the golden mosaics and the main doors through a grant from the Built Heritage Investment Scheme which is administered through Cork City Council’s Strategic Heritage and Planning Section.
