The Burges Maquettes
Experience a beautiful exhibition of plaster models, designed by architect, William Burges. These extremely rare and fragile objects were made as templates for the stone carvings of the cathedral.
The Burges Wooden Models
Be transported back to 1862 when the remarkable architect William Burges unveiled his plans for St Fin Barre’s, winning the commission in controversial circumstances.
Heritage Funding
The cathedral is the beneficiary of Irish Government Funding through various conservation schemes including the Community Monument Fund (CMF) and the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS).
